I wanted authentic tacos, so my little Bro took us to their fav taco place. Of course it's called Tacos Ensenada's... it's a very mom and pop type restaurant, not too big, laid back and you get a lot o food for a little money! AND they give you free refills on their Agua Frescas even if you ordered one of their larges, which is a huge Mason jar type glass! They have lots of flavors too, Melon (my personal favorite), Watermelon, Hibiscus, Tamarindo, etc...

My Brother order full of toppings nachos and SIL had a combination plate with tamales, all plates come with sides of rice and beans. The little ones had kid burritos plate with rice and beans, again a lot of food! My spouse and I both had the 3-enchilada plate with rice and beans, lol. All I wanted was beef crispy tacos! And they had every kind of crispy taco you can think of EXCEPT ground beef  needless to say I was a little disappointed as we specifically went there for ME to get crispy ‍

However, everything was delicious! They even have a salsa bar, where you can choose which salsa you prefer... It will be a regular place to have a meal, when we go and visit my little Bro in California...

No no no....we came here on Tuesday looking for a good place that had taco Tuesday specials and hard shell options. With decent reviews, we decided to check the place out. They're taco Tuesday special was 1.99 for a taco so we got some carne asada, al pastor, shrimp, and chicken (three of them were hard shell). Talk about the BLANDEST carne asada. It was just broiled meat shards. The at pastor tacos tasted old with very little taste to them. The shrimp was so dry!!

Now the hard shell was the topper to the disappointment. The shells were store bought! If we wanted that we would have gone to Taco Bell. Man. Only reason I'm adding a star is because the horchata was good and the decoration was neat. But yeah...my jaw is sore from chewing so much bland dry food.

We live in Irvine so finding an Autherntic Mexican Cuisine is very hard to find. One morning my husband and I were craving Breakfast Burritos everything was close till we found this place. Such a gem! We did not really expect a lot but after trying there burritos damn it's made with love! Truly the best Burritos we had in our life. And wev'e try many. This place is better than Chronic Tacos!lol They also have a salsa bar. Love different tupes of salsas and frsh Juices. Yum!

Authentic, Family owned busines. The man I believe is the owner, has such an amazing customer service. He works so hard and loves what he does. What makes us come back here is the delicious food. It's so good. This place will be a staple in our weekly food venture. If your looking for an Authentic Mexican Cuisine. Look no further. It's hard to find Authentic cuisines in Orange County.

If you're looking for authentic Mexican food, this is the spot!! In Lake Forest, this has to be one of my favorite Mexican food restaurants I've visited. Today was my first time, and I might be back tomorrow! That good. I ordered the chilaquiles. I've been craving this dish for probably a year now, and oh my goodness, it was worth the wait. This place is a gem. Looks like a hole in the wall from the outside, but very charming and welcoming inside. Love the colorful and cultural decor and the food especially. Customer service was awesome too.

This restaurant is located in Lake Forest. Today was my second stop by in this place. I wanted to try the tacos out here. The first time I visited I ordered 2 Carne Asada Tacos and 1 Al Pastor Taco. The meat arrived in chunks and was very BLAND, I prefer the Al Pastor meat when shaved off a Trompo ( vertical rotating spit ) and minced a little bit more, with at least SOME FLAVOR.  The chunky style Al Pastor doesn't do it for me .The tortillas the tacos arrived on were ok. I did go to the Salsa Bar and I put onions and cilantro on them to give them flavor. The salsa bar offers a lot of different types of condiments for your food , it's a decent set-up.
My immediate thought ON the Carne Asada and Al Pastor Tacos , welllllllll , I have had WAY BETTER Tacos in the city of Santa Ana. Today, I wanted to stop by a second time , kinda of a second chance , once again I ordered a few tacos , I ordered the Carne Asada again and the Carnitas Tacos this time . I REALLY LIKED the Carnitas and again I thought the Carne Asada was just ok. One positive note, is the SERVICE HERE is REALLY GOOD . The lady that took my order mentioned this restaurant has been at this location for 32 years . The first 15 years the name of the restaurant was Tacos San Marcos. The last 17 years the restaurant has been called Tacos Ensenada. This lady that took the orders also mentioned to me she has worked at the restaurant for 12 years. I'm sorry that I didn't get her name but she was really friendly and cool. The horchata here is also good. The outward appearance of the restaurant is definitely RUSTIC and fits the theme . I thought it was cool . The ONLY reason I came back for a second stop, was the ATMOSPHERE or RUSTIC look of this place . I thought the taco prices were kinda high . 3.29 per taco as of 6-14 2019.( Regular price not on Taco Tuesdays) WOULD I drive to Santa Ana to have a better taco - HECK YEAH I would ! AM I going to drive back here for a taco - HECK NO I Won't !  I'll probably stop by to TRY something else on the menu. They had quite a extensive menu here.
